I’m a little out in left field. Ok, no I’m not.

What’s up with Ol’ DW and saying Stewart is the man to beat these days on short tracks during the pre-race commentary? Personally, right now, I’d put him more like 5th in the running. This would be after Harvick, Jeff Gordon, Kurt Busch, and Dale Jr.

I’ll give Stewart his kudo’s for his accomplishments (ok, a Diet Kudo) thus far in his career. Also on this note, I’ll add that he is a threat on short tracks. However, being tops? No chance.

Greg Biffle, and Matt Kenseth should be on this list as well. Regardless, there really isn’t anyone that’s on this list that could be crowned “King” just yet. Each is a threat when the flag drops, and the advertisded race distance is in laps, not miles.

  1. Let’s not forget Kenseth either. He’s no slouch when the tracks short either.
