[thumb:358:l:s=1:l=x]As if there isn’t enough wrecks lately, it appears that Todd Bodine wants to go Cup racing with his Germaine Racing Team, using Toyota support. While we should be reminding our readers of the great racing witnessed at Dover this afternoon, this just now being discussed on Wind Tunnel is by far more disturbing.
I’m trying to recall the last Cup race that Todd was in, and didn’t wreck, cause a wreck, or both. This guy has no business in a Cup car. I don’t care what he’s doing in the Truck series, when he gets in a Cup car he’s not only a danger to himself, but the other competitors as well. Sure, we’ll give the credit for the truck accomplishments. However, he tried the Cup series and failed miserably each time. I’d rather see Spencer back in a car then Bodine. And we’re talking Todd, not Geoff or Brett. Todd takes junk, and turns it into a pile of junk. He forces the car for more than it is, and in turn tears it up. There are very few drivers I flat out do not like when it comes to Nascar. Granted, I like some better than others, but there are very few that earn a one way trip to my “walk away from” list. I call it this, because if they were to walk up to me and say hi, I’d simply just walk away. If this is truly their desire, I hope they pay their sheet-metal and body team a fortune. They’re going to earn it if this actually comes to light.
As a side note, this does not appear to be a part of the “Toyota 6″. This appears to be completely separate from Toyota’s other efforts for 2007.
