[thumb:375:r:s=1:l=x]In the ever rolling quest to find and bring relevant reading to the Lounge, I was reading back over an entry from LastCowboys.com a little bit ago. Something caught my eye that I had either missed or hadn’t took into context when originally skimming over it. Bill Lester.

According to the article, one of their anonymous but reliable sources has said that at least one of Bill Davis’ drivers for 2007 has been secured. Apparently sometime soon BDR will be announcing the #23 Waste Management Toyota Camry that will be piloted by Bill Lester.

See, and y’all thought that good guys couldn’t catch a break anymore. This proves otherwise.

What hasn’t been stated anywhere yet is Dave Blaney’s status for 2007. Clint goes on to say that if BDR follows their usual method of operation, Blaney won’t know until it’s too late to find a decent ride for 2007. If I were Dave, I’d already be looking just in case.

Here is an interesting thought. Let’s assume that this comes to light for a minute.

Waste Management Toyota Camry. Isn’t Waste Management already on the #14 of Sterling Marlin? Are they going to be not only sponsoring two different teams, but two different manufacturers as well? Then again, the rumor mill has also had Sterling looking for a job as well next season. Who knows?

However if the case is that they plan on sponsoring both teams, or even considering it, we invite them to drop by the ol’ Thunder Lounge here and we’d be more than happy to take a few of those extra sponsorship dollars off of their hands.

If the deal is true, then a congrats to Bill on earning the ride. Sure it isn’t a Roush of Hendrick, but it’s going to get his foot further in the door.
