[thumb:379:l:s=1:l=x]Well, everybody makes an oops now and then. David Gilliland is no exception.
He got a little loose this morning at Michigan in the first practice session, and backed it into the fence.
The damage was significant enough to bring out the back-up car, so David will have his work cut out for him tomorrow.
According to David, he was in some traffic and the air came off the spoiler. The end result: the car got loose and he wasn’t used to it.
Props to DG though, because it could have been much worse.
It is things like this that makes the whole decision process over the last week stick as a valid one. David has 14 weekends to learn more about these cars and how they react. It’s essentially 14 live competition tests for 2007. Granted they can’t get too creative, they still need to keep it in the top 35 in owner’s points for Daytona in February.
